sabachthaniのフロントマンであるkaetsu takahashiと、アンビエント・ノイズミュージシャンであるyorihisa tauraによって結成されたユニット。アンビエント、ドローン、ノイズ、電子音響、シューゲイズ、クラシカル、現代音楽、クラウトロック、ニューウェイヴ等、古今東西の音楽を内包しながら、ジャンル分類不可能な楽曲を制作している。楽曲制作の過程は、ウェブ上でのやり取りのみである。
ライブは完全に即興演奏で構成されており、規定のフレーズやリズムに縛られることなくパフォーマンスを行う。メンバーは二人共ギタリストではあるが、ラップトップやカオスパッドを操作していることも多い。また、VJやゲストミュージシャンを迎えることもある。
ライブ活動の他に、ドイツのアーティストとのスプリットアルバムや、映像作品への楽曲提供等、多方面に向けた活動を展開している。

"mondfish" is a group formed by kaetsu takahashi, frontman of "sabachthani", and yorihisa taura, an ambient noise musician. They create music that cannot be categorized by genre, encompassing ambient, drone, noise, electro-acoustic, shoegaze, classical, contemporary, krautrock, new wave, and other music from the East and West. The whole process of writing music is done via the web.
The band's live performances are completely improvisational, unconstrained by prescribed phrases or rhythms. Although both members are guitarists, they often operate laptops and chaos pads. They also sometimes have VJs and guest musicians.
In addition to their live performances, the band is also working on a split album with a German artist and contributing music to video works.
